The ceremony started off with the entrance of the Official Party, made up of myself and:

• CAPT Fred S. Bertsch - Commanding Officer, Fleet Training Center, Norfolk

• LCDR Scott C. Colton - Director of Electronics School, FTC Norfolk

• Brother Hilary Mettes - Missionary Servants of the Most Holy Trinity,
  Washington D.C.

The Naval Base Norfolk Honor Guard paraded the colors, (from the rear of the room due to the chandeliers) while my daughter Natalie Fain sang the National Anthem.  Did I ever mention that she has a beautiful voice?  

After the National Anthem, Brother Hilary delivered a moving Invocation.
